parent-child interaction therapy

Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT) is an evidence-based, structured treatment for children (ages 2-7) experiencing emotional and behavioral problems. PCIT is a time-limited treatment (12-20 sessions). In parent sessions, you'll tools to enhance your relationship with your child and improve your abilities to set limits and increase compliance. During typical sessions, you'll play with your child while I provide coaching using "bug-in-ear" technology (aka - your bluetooth headphones) to help you apply new skills. You'll also learn to manage difficult behaviors in public settings. Additional information about PCIT can be found here.
