Jessica Passman, PsyD
I am a licensed psychologist in New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut, with expertise in Cognitive and Dialectical Behavior Therapies. I began learning Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) early in my training, at public schools, clinics and private practices. At NYU Langone Child Study Center, I honed my skills in CBT for children, with particular expertise in childhood anxiety and mood disorders, as well as ADHD.
I fell in love with Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) while working at Cognitive & Behavioral Consultants (CBC), under the direct supervision of Dr. Alec Miller, (co-creator of DBT for adolescents). At CBC, I provided individual therapy and skills groups to adolescents, young adults, and parents. I continued providing CBT and completed my certification in Parent-Child Interaction Therapy. Additionally, I was able to make mental health resources more accessible to children by providing consultation and training to school administrators, educators, and mental health professionals.
More recently, as a staff therapist at Behavioral Psych Studio (a group practice in Manhattan), I provided Dialectical Behavior Therapy for Children following intensive training with Francheska Perepletchikova, creator of DBT-C.
I am a Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT) Certified Therapist and a DBT-Linehan Board of Certification, Certified Clinician™.
Outside the office, I prioritize my mental health by taking walks in Central Park, going to boxing classes, photography, and crafting. If I leave the Upper West Side, it's probably because I'm going to a concert or trying a new restaurant with a friend (or both!).
