About Me
I am a Licensed Psychologist based in Short Hills, NJ, and I am authorized to provide telehealth to clients in NY and all PsyPact states. I specialize in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). My training has taken me through public schools, community clinics, and private practices. At NYU Langone Child Study Center, I specialized in providing CBT for children with ADHD, anxiety, and mood disorders.
At Cognitive & Behavioral Consultants, I trained under the direct supervision of Dr. Alec Miller, co-creator of DBT for adolescents. I have co-facilitated trainings and consultations for school-based DBT teams. I continue to provide comprehensive DBT to adolescents, young adults, and parents and am Linehan-Board Certified in DBT. Additionally, I have trained in Dialectical Behavior Therapy for Children (DBT-C), following intensive training with Francheska Perepletchikova, the creator of DBT-C, and am certified in Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT).
My Approach
Working with kids, teens and young adults starts with building real, trusting relationships, because therapy works best when clients want to show up. Serious progress doesn't always mean serious conversations - I am invested in learning about my clients interests and hobbies (the shows you're binging, hilarious memes, your pets), and I'll share parts of my own experiences when helpful. With a warm foundation, we'll incorporate the structure and skills to start seeing real change. I work hard to establish a balance between respect for clients' privacy while thoughtfully collaborating with parents, loved ones, and other members of the treatment team.
